mine countermeasures
the challenge
The proliferation of buried and advanced mines have created challenges with close-to-shore and inshore mine clearance for approaches to ports and to support battle force and amphibious operations and over-the-shore logistic support of joint forces. This is also applicable to domestic ports and waterways that could be susceptible targets to mine warfare.

Where organic capabilities are employed, the rate of detection and clearance is, in many cases, far slower than desirable. The supplementation of autonomous systems supports quicker clearance; however, the specific challenges of the operational environment and imaging of buried minelike targets using existing technologies may leave gaps in conducting surf zone reconnaissance.
swarmdiver solution
Aquabotix's SwarmDiver is surf-zone operable and deployable from shore or any manned or unmanned platform of opportunity. These features allow for remote clearance of the littoral theatre completely to the beach. The swarming capabilities of the system allow large areas to be rapidly assessed, reducing the time that combat, logistic support, or other vessels are idle and vulnerable. As the SwarmDivers' mission can be planned in advance and the system operates autonomously, operators are free to prioritize anti-air warfare, anti-submarine warfare, naval surface fire support, or other objectives as needs arise all while carrying out the mine countermeasures missions at critical times.
Contact us to discuss how SwarmDiver micro-USV/UUV can provide significant capability in mine countermeasure missions through tasks ranging from simple hydrographic surveys of littoral areas to detailed mine hunting and identification in areas of interest, especially in very shallow water.
